Kodak pocket instamatic 10 →
Was suprised to see this image in United Airline’s magazine article about the saving of polaroid.
Search your attics and local junk stores for this gem. If you find it, we want it.
The Kodak pocket instamatic 10 utilizing 110 film (which we simply call a “snap camera”) is a favorite of us Young Professionals. It was one of the best selling cameras of all time in the...
History Lesson Monday: Agriculture
A couple weeks ago we talked about the booms and busts of Green River, but agriculture and ranching have been consistently important to the Green River economy from the beginning. While the climate proved unsuitable for peaches, the relatively long frost-free season and hot summer temperatures of Green River’s 4,000-foot elevation are ideal for growing melons. J.H. “Melon” Brown...

Over the time we’ve been living here, we’ve had lots of people come to help. Each person has left their mark, and their interest by coming and by staying involved once they’ve moved on has continued to inspire us. History Lesson Monday: The River
The Green River was known to the Shoshone Indians as the Seeds-kee-dee-Agie, or Prairie Hen River. This name, in one version or another, was later adopted and widely used by the mountain men. This connection with the Spanish led...

History Lesson Monday: Booms + Busts
Green River has traditionally been known as a way-station, a crossing-point, a pit-stop, but this unique village is more than just a place to pause. Like most towns, it has been shaped by many events that have dramatically impacted the shape of the city and its residents. Green River has a rich past full of booms and busts.
The history of Green River begins before the settlement era since it was...
As you know, we own a Milwaukee brand™ circular saw. But when that can’t fit because of joists above into the small spaces, we have to go back to basics: introducing, The Hand Saw. We had to remove the old center support beam because of fire damage from who knows how long ago. This is where we decided to cut back to. The monotony of cutting by hand was hard to overcome.
No Fooling
Within the next month, not one but two hardware stores will be opening up in town, Ben’s Cafe (Mexican/American food) will be reopening (after being closed for 8 months), newly remodeled Cathy’s Pizza has already re-opened for summer, the Green River Coffee Company and Ray’s Tavern have been packed for over a week already, the hotel with our favorite roadside sign “Sleepy...
